Palom Shah is one person who was seen giving various information about the iPhone 16's upgraded camera on the day of the event. He initially joined the tech company as a camera intern. He is currently part of the iPhone's wide and telephoto lens design team. In addition, he also manages the camera hardware engineering team. Palom graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering in 2015 and subsequently joined Apple. However, before becoming a part of Apple, he worked at big companies like Blackberry and Lytro.

It is learned that Santhanam previously worked as the vice president of design engineering at Apple chipset maker PA Semi. He joined Apple when the company was acquired by Apple in 2008.
