Xiaomi is set to enter India just a few days after making its global debut at the 14th Mobile World Congress 2024 event. The company announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle that, The flagship It will be launched in this country on Thursday, March 7. It is believed that Xiaomi is only bringing the standard variant to India, as the teaser poster does not mention the word ‘series’ after Xiaomi 14. It is also rumored that the brand will not bring the Xiaomi 14 Pro variant available in China to the global market. Instead, the top-end Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone will be offered to global buyers. Notably, Xiaomi has also received 14 Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifications.

The Indian and Global variants of the Xiaomi 14 are expected to offer the same specifications as the Chinese version. The device debuted in the home market last December. It’s a compact flagship, offering a boxy design, an elongated square camera island and an IP68 (IP68) rating for water and dust resistance. The smartphone has a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate LTPO AMOLED display on the front, offering 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Besides, Xiaomi 14 has Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It houses a 4,610mAh battery unit with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support. For photography, it features a triple camera setup comprised of three 50-megapixel Leica-branded sensors.
