The wait is over, Apple iPhone 16 Pro models will have AI feature support

The iPhone 16 series will launch globally, including India, in September. Various information about this series has already come to light. Today again Jeff Pu, a member of Haitong International Tech Research Group, claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro model of this series will have the new A18 Pro processor, which will come with multiple AI feature support. However, the base models of the series will not have the AI feature.

Apple iPhone 16 series non-Pro models will not get AI feature

Pu believes that Apple has increased the die size of the A18 Pro processor to provide AI features, which will upgrade the neural processing unit. Notably, it was recently reported that Apple will increase the die size of the A18 Pro processor, which will come with a 6-core GPU for Edge AI computing.

Note that Edge AI means that it will provide AI support on the device itself instead of in the cloud. However, a few days ago we reported that Apple is in talks with Google for cloud-based AI support. In that case, Apple could offer on-device as well as cloud-based AI features on Pro models.

But the sad news is that this feature is only available on the iPhone 16 Pro model. Apple isn’t looking to offer AI benefits in standard models right now, though. Apple may have decided to separate the Pro and non-Pro models.
