On June 1, Motorola launched its flagship smartphone Razr 40 Ultra with clamshell design in its home market. And today it is available for sale in open sale for the first time in China. Today was the first sale of Motorola Razr 40 Ultra smartphone. It is made available for sale in China – through the company’s online store, Jingdong Mall, T-Mall and Lenovo Lebei Store. Motorola has launched the handset in the home market with two storage options.
Of which the base variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage has been priced at 5,699 Yuan (around Rs. 66,500 in Indian price). And the higher 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration is priced at 6,399 Yuan (approx. Rs. 74,600). Despite coming in such a high-range, the news of this Motorola phone selling more than 10,000 units on its first day surprised and impressed us at the same time.
The device comes in three colors – Viva Magenta, Glacier Blue, and Infinity Black.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra smartphone features a 6.79-inch Full HD Plus pOLED display, which supports 165 Hz refresh rate, 1400 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ technology. The design of the display is punch-hole (centered) style, with a 32-megapixel selfie snapper located in the cutout. Meanwhile, the dual camera setup with LED flash is present on the back of the device. These cameras are – OIS-enabled 12-megapixel primary sensor and 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle and macro lens.
Along with the camera module, this clamshell design foldable phone has a large 3.6-inch secondary touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 7 protection on the back panel. Notably, this phone is the first model to come under the clamshell foldable segment, with its secondary screen offering a 144Hz refresh rate and pOLED panel.
Talking about specifications, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra being a clamshell design handset, it can be folded and used in multiple angles with a tent. It has a dual stereo speaker setup supported by Dolby Atmos technology. Talking about the internal specifications, this new Motorola smartphone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone is powered by Android 13 stock version. This foldable handset has a 3,800mAh capacity battery with 33W fast charging support for power backup.
Besides, its connectivity options include – 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port and NFC. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button to ensure the security of users’ data. It has a splash-resistant IP52 rating.
