The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion smartphone has entered the Indian market today (May 16). However, the smartphone brand under Lenovo is reportedly planning to launch a new phone under its popular G series soon, which is called the Motorola G85 5G. The handset was spotted on an online retail website in Europe last week. And now, it has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform revealing some hardware specifications. This upcoming phone is going to be the successor of the Moto G84 5G which was launched in September last year. Moto G85 5G has appeared on Geekbench database
The Moto G85 5G phone has been listed on the Geekbench platform with a motherboard codenamed 'malmo'. This octa-core processor consists of six cores clocked at 2.02 GHz and two cores running at 2.30 GHz. For graphics, the chipset is said to be paired with an Adreno 619 GPU. This information suggests that it is an unannounced processor. But it will likely be launched as Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3. Because the Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 480 chipsets have Adreno 619 GPUs with different clock speeds.
According to the benchmark database, the Moto G85 5G phone will have 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 operating system. The phone scored 939 and 2,092 points in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The benchmarking database did not reveal any additional information about the smartphone.
Also, according to European retailer listings, the Moto G85 5G handset may be available in 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will be priced at around 300 Euros (around Rs. 27,200), which is the same as its predecessor.
The Moto G84 5G phone, unveiled last September, has a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED (pOLED) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, the Moto G84 5G model has a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
