Earlier this year, Sony launched the Xperia 1 VI flagship smartphone and the Xperia 10 VI mid-range phone in the global market. The company was then rumored to have started working on a premium phone called the Xperia 5 VI. However, according to Japanese media, the Sony Xperia 5 VI is not being launched at the moment. The brand is said to be holding off the launch of the phone indefinitely.
According to reports, Sony is looking to use larger displays on its premium devices. However, earlier a case manufacturing company said that the upcoming phone is in the development stage and they too will start making the case once they get the green signal from Sony. However, if new reports are to be believed now, Sony has not given the green signal to the case maker.

Basically, Sony can take such a decision to survive in the competition with other brands in the market. Because from Apple to Samsung, everyone is using bigger displays on their phones. As a result, Sony will be able to meet the needs of customers by bringing a phone with a large display. In this situation, the exact launch date of Sony Xperia 5 VI cannot be said for sure.
