Popular smartphone brand iQOO (iQOO) is currently said to be working on a new phone under their Z-series, called the iQOO Z9. The name and model number of the device has recently been revealed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG). Since then, more details about the specifications and features have started to emerge. And now, the iQOO Z9 has been spotted on the BIS India site, confirming the launch of the smartphone in India. iQOO Z9 gets BIS approval
The iCo Z9 phone is listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards site with the model number I2302. This indicates that the device may launch in India soon. However, no information about the specifications has surfaced from there. However, the Bluetooth SIG listing confirmed that the iCoa Z9 will launch with Bluetooth 5.3 version as well as 5G connectivity.
Besides, well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station recently reported that the iQOO Z9 could feature an OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, which would be a significant upgrade over the iQOO Z8 series. The screen is also said to support FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate According to the tipster, the iCo Z9 will be powered by the SM7550 chipset, which is the model number of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
However, conflicting opinions are heard about the iQOO Z9’s chipset. As an earlier report claimed, the handset is being tested with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 chipset. However, it is now said to have Qualcomm’s processor. The iQOO Z9 is also reported to pack a massive 6,000mAh battery, though no information is available yet on its fast-charging capabilities.
