Expectations are high with Redmi’s new performance-focused Turbo series. The first phone in this lineup is going to be the Redmi Turbo 3, which is slated to launch in China on April 10. It is claimed to offer flagship-level performance in the mid-range segment. The phone will come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which is a slight downgrade of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Apart from the powerful processor, the company also said that the Redmi Turbo 3 will have an excellent AMOLED display, the features of which have doubled the excitement of the company’s fans.

An official teaser calls the Redmi Turbo 3’s panel “Xiaomi Qingshan Eye Protection”, which will offer 1.5K resolution and 2400 nits peak brightness. While this brightness level isn’t comparable to the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 SE’s 6,000 nits, the number is still close to the 2,600 nits peak brightness support of this year’s Samsung flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Apart from this, the display panel of Redmi Turbo 3 has a hardware-level solution to reduce blue light emission. For users who use the phone at night, this is definitely a useful feature. The panel is “Vision Health Friendly++” (translated) approved by China Quality Certification Center.
Xiaomi also said that the Redmi Turbo 3’s display will display up to 68.7 billion colors. It will also offer a touch sampling rate of 2,160 hertz, which helps during gaming. An earlier teaser showed ultra-slim and fairly symmetrical bezels around the Redmi Turbo 3’s display. According to reports, the screen size of the Redmi phone is 6.67 inches, i.e. quite large. It also has a 5,000 mAh battery. However, the company has revealed that the phone will weigh just 179 grams and be 7.8mm slim.
