Redmi is currently gearing up for the launch of their next generation K-series flagship smartphones. It is heard that the Redmi K70, K70 Pro and K70e models under the Redmi K70 series will enter the Chinese market in December this year. But even though the launch is still months away, the upcoming lineup is already buzzing with speculation in the tech world. Speculation has been fueled by leaks of specifications online.
Redmi K70 Pro Specifications (Probable)
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the Redmi K70 Pro will feature a flat AMOLED display with narrow bezels. The screen will support 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will be launched at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2023 event in October this year.
In terms of battery and charging, the tipster claims that the Redmi K70 Pro will offer a 5,200mAh capacity battery with 100W fast charging. The predecessor, the Redmi K60 Pro model also supports 30W wireless charging. Presumably, the upgraded version will also offer the same wireless charging capabilities.
Notably, the Redmi K70 Pro is expected to debut as the first Redmi phone with a telephoto camera. The rear camera module of the device will have a 50-megapixel primary camera. The main camera will be paired with a good quality telephoto camera, offering 3x optical zoom. For strength, it is said to be equipped with a metal frame.
Note that the Redmi K70e model included in the K70 series may launch with the upcoming Dimensity 9300 processor, but it is expected to be limited to the Chinese market only. But, the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro models will be rebranded as Poco F6 and F6 Pro respectively in markets outside China, including India. The Poco F6 series is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year.
