OnePlus is reportedly working on its Ace 5 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. A reliable tipster recently reported that the OnePlus Ace 5 lineup will be launched in late December or early January in China. And now the same tipster has revealed the battery capacity of OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro smartphones. Let's get into the details.
Battery capacity of OnePlus Ace 5 series
Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) in its recent Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post mentioned OnePlus' Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (SM8750) phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) processor. These are believed to be the upcoming OnePlus S5 Pro and OnePlus S5 smartphones. According to the post, both the smartphones could have a massive 6,500 mAh battery, with the maximum capacity currently set between 6,300-6,500 and a silicon content of around 10%±.
The OnePlus S5 Pro and OnePlus S5 phones will support 100W dual-cell fast charging. The Pro version's telephoto lens is expected to use the JN1 sensor. Also, the series is expected to have a ceramic build and a flat display.
The tipster had earlier claimed that the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5 handsets will feature a BOE X2 display that will offer 1.5K resolution. The series is expected to be equipped with a right-angle metal mid frame for better stability.
For photography, both devices are expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9 series primary camera with a large 1/1.56-inch sensor. Both phones are expected to run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The company is currently focusing on the launch of the OnePlus 13 phone. It has been officially confirmed that the OnePlus 8 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will be launched on October 13.
