Tecno Phantom V2 Flip features leaked from FCC, will have dual cell battery, 70W charging

Tecno is currently said to be working on their second generation flip foldable phone. The Tecno Phantom V2 Flip model has now been spotted on the US FCC certification website. It will be the successor to the first generation Tecno Phantom V Flip handset, which debuted last year. The certification listing also revealed some key details of the upcoming Tecno Phantom V2 Flip phone, including the design schematic of the handset. Let's take a look at them.

Tecno Phantom V2 Flip got FCC certification

The Tecno Phantom V2 Flip is listed on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website with the model number AE11. The design schematic revealed that the upcoming foldable will have a new design. A large secondary screen will be seen on the back panel of the phone. Above this square display will be two vertically mounted camera sensors and an LED flash unit on the left. Notably, the latest Phantom V Flip has a secondary display inside the circular camera module ring. The power and volume rocker buttons are located on the right side of the device.

The FCC listing also mentions that the Tecno Phantom V2 flip handset will be powered by a 3,410 mAh battery and a dual-cell battery with a capacity of 1,180 mAh. This means the phone will have a battery with a total capacity of 4,590 mAh. It is 15 percent larger than its predecessor. The clamshell foldable phone is said to support 70W fast charging. It is listed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Also, the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip handset will measure 170×74×8 mm when unfolded and 85×74×16 mm when folded.

Apart from the FCC, the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip phone has already been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. It is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor and 8GB of RAM. The device scored 814 and 2,766 points in the benchmark database's single-core and multi-core tests.
