The Tecno Camon 30 series was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) event held in February. And now, the brand is gearing up to launch these latest mid-range devices in global markets like India soon The upcoming series includes four models – Tecno Camon 30, Tecno Camon 30 5G, Tecno Camon 30 Pro and Tecno Camon 30 Premier. Let's take a look at the expected specifications and features of all these phones.
1. Tecno Camon 30 Premier
Tecno Camon 30 Premier is the most premium model among the four devices in the upcoming series. It has a tall 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which offers a 1.5K resolution (1,264 x 2,780 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimension 8200 Ultra processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of in-built storage. According to the official announcement, this model even supports virtual RAM expansion up to 12 GB.
For power backup, the Tecno Camon 30 Premier phone will be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery, which supports 70W wired fast charging. It will run HiOS 14 custom skin based on Android 14 operating system with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos support and an IR blaster. In the camera segment, the Tecno Camon 30 Premier phone will have three 50-megapixel cameras as primary, ultra-wide angle and periscope telephoto lenses. The primary rear sensor offers optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as a dedicated ISP and Tecno's Polar S imaging system. On the other hand, the front of the phone will feature a 50-megapixel sensor with dual flash, which offers autofocus.
2. Tecno Camon 30 Pro
Tecno Camon 30 Pro and Premier are very similar in terms of specifications. The Pro model lags behind in some ways. The display of this phone is 6.78 inch AMOLED panel, but it does not support LTPO. The screen will offer a 144Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,436 pixels). It houses the MediaTek Dimension 8200 Ultra chipset, which offers just 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The battery capacity, charging speed and other minor features of the Tecno Camon 30 Pro phone are similar to the premier model. But there is a big difference in the photography department. While the primary and ultra-wide remain unchanged, its telephoto lens will be replaced with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. However, it will house a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and flash.
3. Tecno Camon 30 5G
The Tecno Camon 30 5G was launched last February as a more affordable option among these three 5G mid-range phones. It offers the same tall 6.78-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display as the Camon 30 Pro phone, but with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device runs on MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 70W wired fast charging.
For selfies, the phone includes a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus and LED flash. On the other hand, the rear of the phone houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an AI lens. It features HiOS 14 software version based on Android 14, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster and glass and leather back variants.
4. Tecno Camon 30
The entry level Tecno Camon 30 is the only 4G smartphone in the series. It uses the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. The chip is said to be paired with at least 8GB of RAM, which could go up to 12GB. It is said that it will get 256 GB of storage. Also, it will get near field communication support, which is omitted in other models of the Camon 30 series. Apart from these, Tecno Camon 30 will be similar to Tecno Camon 30 5G in terms of display, camera, OS and other features.
