Last month Tecno launched the Tecno Pova 6 Pro at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) event held in Barcelona, Spain. It is a 5G smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset that offers FullHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. Currently it is heard that the brand has started preparing to launch the standard Tecno Pova 6. Adding to the speculation, the phone has now been spotted on the Google Play Console and FCC databases in the US.
Tecno Pova 6 appeared on multiple certification sites
The Tecno Pova 6 phone has appeared in the database of Google Play Console with the model number TECNO-LI7. According to the listing, the Tecno phone will have a flat FullHD+ display, which will offer a resolution of 2,436×1,080 pixels and a pixel density of 480 ppi.
As per the design, the power button and volume rocker will be located on the right side of the device and the corners will be rounded. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 2.2 GHz. The chipset will be paired with Mali G57 GPU and 8GB of RAM. It is also known that the phone will run the latest Android 14 operating system.
On the other hand, the Tecno Pova 6 is also listed on the platform of the United States Federal Communications Commission with the same model number. The certification reveals that the phone will have a large 5,850mAh battery with 70W fast charging support. Also, the schematic published in the listing showed that the phone will have a dual-camera setup with a circular flash module on the back. The image reads ‘256 GB + 12 GB’, so the phone is expected to be available in this variant.
However, some other specifications of Tecno Pova 6 including display type, refresh rate, camera resolution are yet to be revealed. Notably, the Pova 5 launched last year offers the same Helio G99 chipset. But, it has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD FullHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera, the phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera and an AI lens on the rear panel. So the leaked information so far points to an upgrade to the successor, the Tecno Pova 6.
