Tecno showcased its camera-centric Tecno Camon 30 lineup at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) event last February. There are three models in this series – the standard Tecno Camon 30, Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Pro 5G. The brand today finally announced the launch of the Camon 30 series of phones with full specifications and pricing. These smartphones have AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, MediaTek processor, 5,000mAh battery and 70W fast charging support. These Tecno handsets run HiOS 14 custom skin based on Android 14.
Tecno Camon 30 Series Specifications and Features
Tecno Camon 30 (4G) and Tecno Camon 30 5G come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which offers FullHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G also sports the same 6.78-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display, which supports a higher 144Hz refresh rate. These handsets come with different processors. The standard model with 4G connectivity is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor, coupled with Mali G57 GPU. The R Tecno Camon 30 5G model has a MediaTek Dimension 7020 chipset with an IMG BXM8 GPU, while the Pro model uses a MediaTek Dimension 8200 Ultimate processor, paired with a Mali G610 GPU for graphics. All three phones run on HiOS 14 custom skin based on Android 14 operating system.
In terms of cameras, the Tecno Camon 30 and Tecno Camon 30 5G – both models have a dual camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2-megapixel depth lens, light sensor and dual flash. On the other hand, the triple rear camera setup of the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and dual flash. And for selfies, all three Tecno Camon 30 series phones have a 50-megapixel autofocus camera with dual color temperature flash on the front.
For power backup, the Tecno Camon 30 series uses a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 70W fast charging. For security, the phones include an in-display fingerprint scanner. Finally, for a better audio experience, the Tecno Camon 30 lineup has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.
Tecno Camon 30 Series Price and Availability
The Tecno Camon 30 series has been made available for sale in the Nigerian market. The company plans to gradually release in more than 70 other countries, including India. However, Tecno has not said anything specific about when these will be launched in other markets. Tecno Camon 30 series phones are priced at –
Tecno Camon 30 – 321,500 Nigerian Naira (Rs. 20,300 approx).
Tecno Camon 30 5G – 452,000 Nigerian Naira (Rs. 28,500 approx).
Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G – 538,000 Nigerian Naira (Rs. 34,000 approx).
Note that the Tecno Camon 30 series is expected to make its debut in the Indian market soon. The brand is likely to officially announce the India launch of the Camon 30 series in the next few weeks.
