Vivo launched Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro under their flagship X100 series in November last year. The smartphones also entered the Indian market earlier this year. Since then, there have been speculations that the lineup will include one more model, the Vivo X100 Ultra. It will be the third and most powerful model in the X100 series. One of the features of the phone will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor camera features. It is rumored that the Vivo X100 Ultra may enter the market in the second quarter of this year. Now Vice President of Vivo Products, Huang Tao has hinted on social media that the launch of the X100 Ultra won’t be too long.
Vivo X100 Ultra will have professional camera quality images
Vice President of Vivo Products, Huang Tao acknowledged the high expectations for the Vivo X100 Ultra in his Weibo (Chinese micro-blogging website) post. This phone is often called “Thanos”. He expressed gratitude for the attention and support of Vivo fans and also emphasized the huge challenge of creating a device with such advanced capabilities. Huang even compared it to building a professional camera, which would work as a phone. He assured the customers that the technical glitches of the Vivo X100 Ultra are being addressed carefully and he requested the waiting customers to be patient for some more time, as the company is working through various challenges.
According to recent reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra will feature an E7 AMOLED display, which will offer QuadHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This will be Vivo’s first smartphone, which will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo X100 Ultra is expected to feature a 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary camera on the back panel. This is the same main camera, which is present in Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Ultra. The main camera on the X100 Ultra will be joined by an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto camera and a periscope telephoto camera.
The report also claims that the Vivo X100 Ultra’s 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera will offer a focal length of 100mm, 4.3x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom. The device is also said to support two-way satellite connectivity. Vivo X100 Ultra is expected to debut in May.
