Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi A3 smartphone under their affordable A-series in the Indian market. Priced at less than Rs 7,500, this Redmi phone is mainly aimed at first-time smartphone buyers. It has a 90 Hz LCD display, MediaTek Helio G36 processor, 8 megapixel primary camera and 5,000 mAh battery. The Redmi A3 features a rounded camera island and leather-textured back panel with highlights like the halo design. Redmi A3 Price and Availability
The Redmi A3 is priced starting at Rs 7,299 and will be available for purchase from February 23 exclusively through Flipkart, Amazon, the company’s official website, Mi Home and other retail channels. The base 3GB RAM + 64GB storage model of Redmi A3 is priced at Tk 7,299. Besides, the higher 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage models are priced at Tk 8,299 and Tk 9,299 respectively. The Redmi A3 is available in olive green, lake blue and midnight black color options.
As a launch offer, the company will offer an exchange bonus of Rs 300 with the Redmi A3, bringing the effective starting price down to Rs 6,999. Customers can also get the Redmi Watch 2 Lite smartwatch priced at Rs 4,999 along with this phone for just Rs 1,499.
Specifications and features of Redmi A3
The Redmi A3 features a 6.7-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G36 processor, which offers a maximum of 6 GB RAM (with up to 6 GB virtual RAM) and 64 GB/128 GB storage. Xiaomi says that the Redmi A3 runs on Android 14 operating system. But it could be the Android Go edition like its predecessor. But so far nothing is known clearly about it.
In terms of cameras, the rear panel of the Redmi A3 features an 8-megapixel primary camera and an AI lens with LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel front camera on the front of the phone and it also supports screen flash. For power backup, the Redmi A3 houses a 5,000mAh battery with standard 10W charging support.
Also, Redmi A3 offers connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G connectivity, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. The phone will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a mono speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port.
