Various trends appear in the smartphone market, and with the passage of time, they also disappear from the market. This pattern can also be observed in the design of new and upcoming devices. But in this case, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy F55 phone is seen separately. Specifications and features aside, let's find out why its design is special for Samsung Galaxy devices.
Samsung Galaxy F55: First Leather Finish Galaxy Phone?
The Samsung Galaxy F55 is the first phone from Samsung to be launched in the global market, which will offer a vegan leather back panel. The rear of the phone will feature a vertically aligned triple setup, but the glass/plastic panel will be replaced with leather. So far, Chinese brands have been more active in using such materials in their smartphones. But it looks like the South Korean company has also started using the stitched design on their phones. The upcoming handset has a thickness of just 7.8 mm and weighs 180 grams. But this isn't really the first leather-finish Galaxy phone.
Basically, the Samsung Galaxy F55 phone is actually the same as the M55 and C55 models. Note that the F55 is a rebranded version of the Galaxy C55 phone for the global market. The Samsung Galaxy C55 model is limited to the Chinese market. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy M55 is the non-leather version. Meaning, all the three phones are same in terms of specifications.
Talking about the specifications, it will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED (AMOLED) display, which offers FullHD+ resolution, 100 nits peak brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy F55 will run on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which may be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In terms of power backup, the handset will feature a large 5,000mAh battery, which can support 45W wired fast charging.
For photography, the Samsung Galaxy F55 handset is expected to have three image sensors on the back. It will feature a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support as the primary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. And for selfies and video calls, a 50-megapixel selfie camera will be placed in front of the phone. These cameras will likely support dual-camera recording functions. That is, Samsung's phone can record simultaneously from the rear and front cameras.
Based on an earlier report, the Samsung Galaxy F55 will be launched in three storage options, namely 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The price of the device in India will start at Rs 26,999, while the remaining variants may be priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999 respectively. It is also rumored that Samsung will also offer a bank discount of Rs 2,000 on the device.
