The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable phones were recently spotted in a leaked promo image. And now, the South Korean brand has confirmed that the next generation of foldables will have AI features. A Samsung official shared this information in a blog post. Currently, Galaxy AI features are available in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series as well as some other flagship phones of the company. The names of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones are also going to be added to this list soon.

Un-Joon Choi, Samsung's EVP and head of the Office of Mobile Research and Development, said the company plans to further optimize the Galaxy AI experience for upcoming foldable devices. The upcoming folding phones are Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. He further added that the upcoming foldables will come with the most versatile and flexible form factor in the Samsung Galaxy lineup, and devices with Galaxy AI capabilities will unlock all new possibilities.
Samsung aims to revolutionize the mobile experience with a hybrid AI approach, which is deemed practical and reliable to meet the needs of users. This will keep the company ahead of other brands by providing instant responsiveness and added privacy with on-device and cloud-based AI. Features like Live Translate are confirmed to be available on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones. It translates live phone calls to resolve language issues.
Samsung also revealed that it will extend the Live Translate AI feature to third-party messaging apps to support voice calls. It will be integrated into the company's on-device AI language translation model, allowing users to communicate without language-centric barriers without security issues.
Note that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Z Flip 6 phones are rumored to debut on July 10 alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Buds 3 TWS earphones and Galaxy Ring. So expect more details about the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event to surface soon.
