
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is coming to the market as the successor of the Galaxy S25 series at the beginning of next year. The company has already informed that the upcoming flagship models will have important artificial intelligence (AI) features and the models will come with camera upgrades. A recent report also claims that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ handsets will feature upgraded triple rear cameras, including a new 12-megapixel telephoto sensor. The battery capacity of both the models is also expected to be increased.

Popular tech website SmartPrix has reported that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ models will have a 50-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel triple rear camera system. 50 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KGNG primary camera will be available.
The company was rumored to use the new 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN3 ultra-wide-angle camera sensor in the Galaxy S26 series. However, reports suggest that Samsung has changed their strategy after the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge. Upcoming models will feature a 12-megapixel Sony IMX564 sensor.
The report also states that the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ models will feature new telephoto cameras. It will be a 12-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5K3LD sensor, whereas we got a 10-megapixel ISOCELL S5K3K1 sensor on the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ battery capacity will increase
The report claims that the Galaxy S26 smartphone will have a 4300mAh battery, which is bigger than the Galaxy S25’s 4000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Plus model will be powered by a 4900 mAh battery.
