After Samsung launched its flagship S21 series smartphones in 2021, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S21 FE handset earlier last year. Even after the Galaxy S22 lineup of devices hit the market, no FE version of the series was launched. But the South Korean company is keen to bring back the “Fan Edition” lineup with the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE. After the Galaxy S20 FE, no other model in this lineup has been able to get a good response among consumers, but this may change soon with the next generation model. Since the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE hasn’t been launched, the company had plenty of time for the next phone. Several months have passed since the launch of the S23 series last February and now it is being heard that Samsung is working fast to bring the Galaxy S23 FE to the market. And now the battery of this handset has received certification from the site of Safety Korea.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE’s battery has been approved by Safety Korea
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE battery is listed on the Safety Korea site. According to the listing, the battery carries the model number EB-BS711ABY which matches the SM-S711. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE was previously spotted with the same model number. The battery cell is said to be manufactured by Amperex, but its actual capacity has not been revealed. However, the phone is rumored to have a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
Also recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S23 FE model will be powered by the company’s in-house Exynos 2200 processor. It will be sold in 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB in-built storage variants. The phone is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor. The Galaxy S23 FE will be launched ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. These two foldable smartphones are already confirmed to launch in the last week of July. If this is true, then more information about the device will surface soon.
Note that one of the main differences between the Galaxy S23 FE and previous FE models is the exclusive Exynos 2200 variant. The S21 FE was available with Exynos or Snapdragon processors depending on the region. However, the S23 FE will only be available in the global market with the Exynos 2200.
