Last week Samsung confirmed that it will soon launch a new F series smartphone in the Indian market, named Galaxy F55 5G. Although various information about it has been leaked online for quite some time, nothing has been officially announced by the company, but this time the South Korean company has confirmed the launch date of the upcoming handset. It is going to enter the market this month itself. Apart from this, the brand has also hinted about the Samsung Galaxy F55 phone price in India. Let's get into the details.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G launch date and Indian price revealed
Samsung has confirmed through its social media channels that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G phone will make its debut in the country on May 17. The brand also revealed that the price of the Indian version of the Samsung Galaxy F55 handset will start at Rs “2X999”, meaning the base variant of the device will definitely be priced below Rs 30,000 in the country.
Samsung revealed the design and color options of the upcoming F series smartphone earlier this week. The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G will sport a classy vegan leather finish with a saddle stitch pattern. The handset will come in Apricot Crush and Resin Black color options. Samsung claims that the Galaxy F55 5G will be the lightest and slimmest smartphone in its segment, with a vegan leather finish on the rear panel.
In terms of photography, the Samsung Galaxy F55 will feature a triple-rear camera setup between camera rings surrounded by gold accents on the back panel. The Samsung phone appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking database a few days ago and its listing revealed that the upcoming F series handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. It is also said to have 8GB of RAM and run on Android 14 operating system.
Also, according to the Google Play Console database listing, the Samsung Galaxy F55 handset will offer a FullHD+ display with a centered punch hole notch. The smartphone could be launched in India in three variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
