Samsung launched a new M-series smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G in Brazil yesterday (March 28). Within hours of the launch, this time, the company’s Indian arm has started teasing the device for the country’s market. Along with the teaser, a tipster has also revealed how much the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will cost in the country. The teaser published on the site of Amazon India reveals that the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Notably, this chipset was released in May 2022, which is already used in multiple devices like Oppo Reno 8 Pro, Xiaomi CV2/Xiaomi 13 Lite, Honor 90 and Motorola Razr 40.
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore reported that the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will be launched in three variants in the Indian market. Its base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model will be priced at Rs 26,999. And the higher 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage models will be available for Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999 respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus display with a punch-hole design, offering FullHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. For security, it includes an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy M55 5G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. In terms of software, the device runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 custom skin.
For photography, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. And in front of the phone is a 50 megapixel selfie sensor. For power backup, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
