Earlier this month, a Redmi phone with model number 24094RAD4C was approved by China's 3C (CCC) certification platform. The phone is believed to be the Redmi Note 14 5G with a 45W charger. The series is rumored to have two more phones with model numbers 24115RA8EC and 24094RA29C. And today, the 24115RA8EC variant has received approval from China's 3C authorities. This phone may be part of the Redmi Note 14 Pro smartphone series. Let's get into the details.
Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G got 3C certification
First off, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus launched last year offer the same 5,000 mAh battery. However, the Pro model supports 67W fast charging technology, while the Pro Plus model supports higher 120W charging. On the other hand, the standard Redmi Note 13 model comes with 33W fast charging support.
Notably, the upcoming Redmi Note 14 phone was listed on the China Compulsory Certification site with the model number 24094RAD4C. This certification indicates that it can support 45 watt charging technology. However, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus are expected to come with improved fast charging capabilities.
Now the 3C database has spotted a Redmi phone with model number 24115RA8EC with a 90W fast charger, which carries the model number MDY-14-EC. Although Chinese tech bloggers believe that the 24115RA8EC is the Redmi Note 14 Pro version, there is no clarity on whether it is the Pro or the Pro Plus variant.
Note that the Redmi Note 14 Pro phone is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. On the other hand, Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7350 processor. Both the phones are likely to feature a 1.5K resolution OLED display with curved edges and a 50-megapixel triple camera unit. Now that the Redmi Note 14 series devices have been approved by the 3C certification site, it is believed to make its debut in China in September itself.
