Xiaomi is currently gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its sub-brand Redmi in India called the Redmi 12 next month. But before the model in question could hit the market, the company announced a price cut for the handset. We are talking about the Redmi Note 12 smartphone that debuted in the country on January 5. The model is available with a total of three storage configurations and each variant will be available at a lower price. Let’s know the new price of Redmi Note 12 (5G).

The Redmi Note 12 5G smartphone comes with a total of three storage variants. Of which the base variant with 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage has been priced at Tk 17,999. And the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage options are priced at Tk 19,999 and Tk 21,999 respectively.
But recently it was announced that the price of each storage option of this device will be reduced by Rs.1,000. After which, you can now buy the 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants of the Redmi Note 12 5G phone for Tk 16,999, Tk 18,999 and Tk 20,999 respectively. It is available in – Frosted Green, Matte Black and Mystic Blue colors.
Incidentally, apart from the price cut, Xiaomi is also offering several attractive offers with their existing handsets. For example, buyers who purchase the Redmi Note 12 smartphone using an ICICI or HDFC Bank credit card will get an additional Rs 2,000 instant discount on top of the fixed price. And it is confirmed that an exchange bonus of Rs 2,000 will also be offered if you buy the said smartphone by upgrading the Redmi and Xiaomi (Mi) branding.
Specifications of Redmi Note 12
The Redmi Note 12 5G phone features a 6.67-inch Full HD Plus (1080×2400 pixels) Samsung AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor for performance. The handset runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 with custom skin.
In terms of the camera department, the Redmi Note 12 5G smartphone features a triple camera setup on the rear panel. These cameras are – 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and 2-megapixel macro shooter. Meanwhile, the device has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
Talking about other features, the handset in question comes with – a 3.5mm headphone jack, a hybrid SIM card slot and IR blaster. As a security feature, users will get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For power backup there is a large battery of 5,000 mAh capacity, which supports 33 W fast charging. Finally, the 7.9mm thick smartphone will be protected from dust and water as it is IP53 rated.
