It was known a few days ago that Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi 12. Before the launch, the phone has been listed on the company’s official website in Portugal. A tipster leaked the prices and specifications from that listing. Accordingly, the Redmi 12 phone has a large display with FullHD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It uses MediaTek Helio G88 processor. The handset also features a triple-camera setup, an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a fingerprint sensor.
Redmi 12: Price and Color Options

Sales, however, have not yet begun. The phone can be chosen in three color options – Blue, Silver and Black. When launched in India, the price is expected to be between Rs 10,000-11,000.
Redmi 12: Specifications and Features
The Redmi 12 phone will have a 6.79-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. A punch-hole cutout can be seen in the upper center of this screen. The device will be powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio G88 processor, coupled with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for graphics. Redmi 12 will be available with 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB in-built storage. For security, the device will include a fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 12 will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back, an 8-megapixel lens and a 2-megapixel sensor. And for selfies and video calls, an 8-megapixel selfie camera can be seen on the front of the phone. For power backup, the Redmi 12 will be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery, which will support 18W fast charging. Also, this Redmi phone will have a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.3 and support for NFC.
