Realme is currently gearing up to launch the Realme GT Neo6 and GT Neo6 SE as their next generation GT Neo series smartphones in the Chinese market. Initially these two handsets were expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processors respectively. But now Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme GT Neo6 SE will indeed be the first phone to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip.
The processor name of Realme GT Neo6 SE has been announced
First of all, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 (SM7675) processor is comprised of one 2.9 GHz Cortex-X4 core, four 2.6 GHz Cortex-A720 cores and three 1.9 GHz Cortex-A520 cores. For graphics, it has Adreno 732 GPU. This mid-range chip is touted by prominent tipster Digital Chat Station as a “major upgrade”. Because, it has a similar architecture to the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Apart from this potentially power efficient and capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip, the upcoming Realme GT Neo6 SE has a few other notable features. Tipster DCS says that the phone will offer a 1.5K OLED display, which supports Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) technology. He noted that not many devices in this phone range offer an LTPO panel. For power backup, the Realme GT Neo6 SE will be powered by a 5,500mAh battery, which can support 100W fast charging.
Realme GT Neo5 SE, the predecessor of Realme GT Neo6 SE launched in early April last year, has a 6.74-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,240 x 2,772. The phone was launched with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, the predecessor of the 7+ Gen 3. It offers the same 5,500mAh battery and 100W charging speed. The phone was launched in the Chinese market at a price of around 2,000 Yuan (around Rs. 23,600).
