Realme has finally announced the launch date of their upcoming Realme GT 8 series. The lineup is expected to include Realme GT 8 and Realme GT 8 Pro models. These handsets will have swappable rear camera module. The company recently announced that it has tied up with the Ricoh brand for image tuning on the camera of its upcoming handset. Realme GT 8 series will be the first Realme phone with ‘Ricoh GR’ imaging technology. The Chinese tech company has already revealed some of the camera features of their upcoming phones.
Realme GT 8 series will be launched next week
Realme has announced in a post on Weibo that they will launch their new flagship smartphones, Realme GT 8 Pro and Realme GT 8 on October 21. Also, Realme recently announced that they have entered into a long-term partnership with Ricoh Imaging for tuning their upcoming cameras.
Also now the company has shared some specifications of the cameras on the Realme GT 8 Pro. The phone’s camera sensors will have 28mm and 40mm focal lengths. It is also said to come with immersive framing mode (translated from Chinese).
It will also have a quick focus mode, which allows users to pre-determine the focus length and take pictures with gestures. Besides, the Realme GT 8 Pro model will also have a hidden focal length feature. With this, the device will allow users to shoot with a focal length of 28mm or 40mm, which can also be switched to 35mm and 50mm respectively.
Other Features of Realme GT 8
Realme has already confirmed that the Realme GT8 Pro model will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will feature a 2K 10-bit LTPO BOE flat OLED display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also have a 200-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Samsung HP5 Periscope telephoto camera. As mentioned earlier, users can switch the camera between three different camera modules.
A tipster recently revealed that the Realme GT 8 Pro phone will feature a 50-megapixel 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens. It may have a 7,000mAh battery and 120W wired fast charging support.
Realme GT 8 Price (Probable)
Not much is known about the price of Realme’s upcoming handset. Incidentally, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of Realme GT 7 Pro was launched in India at Rs 59,999. On the other hand, the base variant of Realme GT 7 with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage was priced at Rs 39,999. The price of the upcoming model is expected to be kept the same.
