Realme GT 6 was launched in India on June 20. Its price starts from Tk 40,999 in the country. And features include 8T LTPO AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and AI eye protection, custom skin based on Android 14, up to 16GB of RAM, 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, 32-megapixel selfie shooter, under-display optical fingerprint. Sensors and large batteries with fast charging support will be available. The new handset will compete with the Samsung Galaxy A55 arriving in March in terms of price and features. As a result, in the mid-range segment, Realme or Samsung is the best smartphone brand. So let's take a look at the price and feature differences between these two 5G mobile phones.

Realme GT6 phone price in India starts from Rs 40,999. This sale price is for the base model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Again, the higher 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and top-end 16 GB RAM + 512 GB models are priced at Tk 42,999 and Tk 44,999 respectively. It is available in – Fluid Silver and Razor Green colors

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G smartphone comes with a total of three storage variants. Of which the base model with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is priced at Tk 39,999. And the higher 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variants can be bought for Tk 42,999 and Tk 46,999 respectively. It comes in – Ice Blue, Lilac, Navy and Lemon colors.

Coming with a glossy metallic mirror texture back design, the Realme GT6 smartphone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K (2,780 x 1,264 pixels) 8T LTPO AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. This display supports – 120 Hz refresh rate, 6,000 nits maximum brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 3+1 plus low-frequency flicker DC dimming, 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Again it comes with AI Eye Protection to reduce eye strain. It will feature an under-display optical fingerprint scanner for security.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone features a 6.6-inch Full HD Plus (2340×1080 pixels) sAMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which supports 120 Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits peak brightness. As a security feature, it has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor.

Realme GT6 phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor and Adrenaline 735 GPU for better performance. With this, up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 1 terabyte of storage will be available. The device is powered by Realme UI 5.0 custom skin based on Android 14.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone comes with the Exynos 1480 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. However, its storage capacity can be increased with the help of a microSD card. It runs One UI 6.1 custom skin based on Android 14.

The company also promises that the battery can maintain more than 80% battery health even after 1,600 charging cycles, which equates to about four years of use.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
