Realme and OnePlus’s surprise launch of rugged phones with 24GB RAM and 240W fast charging

iQOO recently launched the flagship iQOO 11S smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Some recent reports claim that the handset will soon face competition from upcoming SD8G2-powered flagships like the Realme GT Neo 6 series and the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. And now a popular tipster has shared some exciting details about the upcoming Ace 2 Pro and GT Neo 6 series. Let’s take a look at them.

The launch timeline of Realme GT Neo 6 series and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is out

Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed in its same Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post that both the Realme GT Neo 6 series and OnePlus S2 Pro – models will debut exclusively in the Chinese market next August. Currently, there is no word on whether these devices will make it to markets outside of China. However, both the smartphones are expected to have similar specifications.

The tipster revealed that the OnePlus S2 Pro and Realme GT Neo 6 series will feature attractive OLED panels with 1.5K resolution. The devices will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with a maximum clock speed of 3.2 GHz. These flagships from Real and OnePlus will offer a massive 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Both the smartphones will feature an optical image stabilization (OIS)-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor, ensuring stunning photography capabilities. Besides, they will provide fast and convenient charging solution with 150W fast charging speed.

Some earlier reports have suggested that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature a curved-edge display, while the GT Neo 6 series will come with a flat screen. OnePlus’ phone will offer efficient heat dissipation technology, making it suitable for mobile gaming. On the other hand, the Realme GT Neo 6 series will support up to 240W fast charging technology, which can fully charge the phones in a few minutes. Notably, the GT Neo 6 will come in two variants – one offering 150W and the other 240W fast charging.

Note that another Chinese smartphone brand Redmi is going to launch a flagship phone called Redmi K60 Ultra in their home market in August. Although it doesn’t have a Snapdragon chip like competing handsets, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200+ processor will be used.
