There have been speculations about the next Oppo K-series smartphone for a while now. The brand is rumored to be launching the Oppo K12 in China soon. Recently, a tipster shared some specifications of the phone on social media. He is now back with the schematic of the Oppo K12, which clearly shows the design of both the front and back panels of the phone.
Oppo K12 design leaked
Digital Chat Station shared the schematic of Oppo K12 in its Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post. According to the image, there is a punch-hole OLED (OLED) panel on the front, which is believed to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The rear shell of the phone houses two cameras and an LED flash in a raised module in the upper left corner.
Also, the schematic of the Oppo K12 also confirmed the presence of an alert slider on the left side of the frame. A volume rocker and a power button can be seen on the right side of the phone. It is believed that the K12 will have a dual speaker system, with one likely to be on the bottom edge and the other on the top bezel.
Oppo K12 Specifications (Probable)
The Oppo K12 is said to sport a 6.7-inch OLED panel, offering a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device will run on the latest Android 14 based ColorOS 14 custom skin.
For photography, the triple camera setup on the rear panel of the Oppo K12 will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. And there will be a 16 megapixel front camera. However, no information about the phone’s battery or charging capacity is available yet. It is believed to offer a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support, just like its predecessor Oppo K11.
Notably, the Oppo K11 5G and OnePlus Ace 2V launched last year have similar designs, but both phones offer different specifications. It is speculated that the Oppo K12 and Ace 3V might follow the same strategy. A recently leaked render of the OnePlus Ace 3V hinted at a design similar to that of the Oppo phone.
Therefore, it is expected that the external design of Oppo K12 and OnePlus Ace 3V may be similar, but the internal specifications will be different. Because it is known that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset will be used more powerful than Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in OnePlus phones.
