Good news for Poco fans. The sub-brand of Xiaomi will soon launch its first Neo-branded smartphone, it has been revealed in a message from the head of the company’s Indian branch. Head of Poco India, Himanshu Tandon confirmed the arrival of the Poco X6 Neo in a social media post, taking a jab at the recently launched Realme 12 5G for its price. The phone is expected to be launched in India this month itself.
Poco X6 Neo is coming to India soon
Himanshu Tandon in his X (ex-Twitter) post indicated that the Rs 17,000 MediaTek Dimension 6100+ processor and LCD screen is not at all cost effective for consumers. It goes without saying that he said this in reference to the Realme 12 5G launched in the country today. In side-by-side comparison, he also said that his company has already used MediaTek Dimension 6100+ in Poco M6 5G, which costs around Rs 10,000.
Let us know, currently the Poco X6-series includes two smartphones – the standard Poco X6 5G and the Poco X6 Pro 5G. The upcoming Poco X6 Neo will be the third addition to the company’s X6 lineup and the company’s first handset with the Neo name.
Incidentally, the model number of the Poco X6 Neo is said to be 2312FRAFDI and it has already received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site. The device is expected to be priced below Rs 16,000 and could be a slightly modified or tweaked version of the Redmi Note 13 5G.
Also, the Poco X6 Neo is rumored to have a 108-megapixel rear camera and MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor and may come with a 120Hz OLED display. This Poco phone will likely offer a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Not much information about the upcoming Poco X6 Neo has surfaced yet. But since the company has started sharing its teaser, expect more details to surface soon.
