People will be watching, Honor Magic 5 is entering the global market with features as well as design

Honor unveiled the Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Ultimate flagship phones during the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023) tech trade show held in February. At that time, the company confirmed that the Honor Magic 5 series will hit the global market in the second quarter of this year. In April, the Magic 5 and 5 Pro were released in Malaysia. The Pro model is also available in the UK. And now the Honor Magic 5 has appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification site, indicating the phone’s imminent launch in the country.

Honor Magic 5 got IMDA certification

The Honor Magic 5 phone with model number PGT-N09 has been approved by Singapore’s IMDA. This certification indicates that the device could enter the Singapore market within the next few weeks. However, this listing doesn’t reveal any additional information about the phone, other than the model number. However, the Honor Magic 5 is already available in the home market China as well as the Malaysian market, so its specifications are no longer unknown. Let’s take a look at them.

Honor Magic 5 Specifications

The Honor Magic 5 features a 6.73-inch OLED curved edge display with a punch-hole design. It supports FullHD+ resolution of 1,224 x 2,688 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak brightness and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Honor Magic 5 runs MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 user interface.

For photography, the rear panel of the Honor Magic 5 houses a 54-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS) support. And for selfies, the phone has a 12-megapixel front-facing camera with 100-degree field of view (FOV). For power backup, the Honor Magic 5 uses a 5,100mAh battery, which supports 66W fast charging.

In terms of price, the Honor Magic 5 is available in three variants in the Chinese market, with the base model priced at 3,999 Yuan (around Rs. 45,950) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. And its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage models are priced at 4,499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 51,700) and 4,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 57,420) respectively.
