After a long period of speculation, Oppo has finally confirmed today (May 15) that it will hold a launch event on May 23 to remove the screen from the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 series of smartphones. The series is expected to initially include two devices, namely the standard Oppo Reno 12 and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. The official teaser video indicated that the Oppo Reno 12 series will debut in a silver color shade. It is also rumored that the standard Oppo Reno 12 model will be the first smartphone powered by the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 8250 processor. Oppo Reno 12 Pro: Specifications (Possible)
The Oppo Reno 12 Pro phone will feature a 6.7-inch FullHD+ curved OLED (OLED) display, which can offer a resolution of 2,772 × 1,240 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,600. The handset will run on MediaTek Dimension 9200 Star Speed Edition, coupled with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will run Android 14 based on ColorOS 14 custom skin.
The rear camera setup of the Oppo Reno 12 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens.
