Nothing has started working on three new smartphones with the aim of launching this year. Although the London-based company has not officially said anything, speculations have been rife since last year. First among the upcoming models is the Phone (3). It will offer the company's flagship phone and high-end features.
Nothing's new phone is coming to India
The other two models are Phone (3a) and (3a) Plus. These are for mid-range and premium mid-range categories respectively. Now, one of these three smartphones has appeared in Bureau of Indian Standards or BIS and UL Demko certification. It is speculated to be either the Nothing Phone (3a) or the Phone (3a) Plus.
As usual, the BIS listing did not reveal any information other than the phone's model number and India launch approval. However, UL Demco has revealed that the phone has a battery capacity of 4920mAh. This is most likely the rated capacity, so the company may advertise the battery as 5000mAh.
According to reports, the Nothing Phone (3a) series will see major upgrades. It is expected to have a telephoto camera. Whereas the Plus model may use a periscope telephoto lens. This feature will be a first for Nothing's mid-range phone. Both models will come with eSIM feature support.
Also, unconfirmed sources claim, this lineup is going to have Qualcomm processors instead of MediaTek. Both the Phone (3a) and (3a) Plus models are expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, offering better efficiency and performance than the previous generation.
