Nokia Lumia brings back the nostalgia, after the picture, the price has been leaked

The HMD Skyline phone is going to hit the market very soon. But before that, multiple information about this handset has been leaked online. And now the price details of the phone and the detailed information about the software support have come to the fore. It is heard that a Business Edition of this handset will also be available in the market.

HMD Global is gearing up to launch several new smartphones in the market under their own branding, one of which is the HMD Skyline. Recently, a reliable tipster revealed some information regarding the hardware specifications of this phone. And now he has revealed the price of the new HMD Skyline phone and its software support plan. This update shares post-launch experience details of the upcoming HMD handset. Let us know about them in detail.

HMD Skyline phone prices and software support plans

It is already known that the HMD Skyline phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 chipset and an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary camera sensor. Notably, the handset is said to feature the same design language as the Nokia Lumia 920 phone

And now a post from the X (formerly Twitter) account named HMD Mim's has been shared, revealing that HMD Global is planning three years of Android updates for the HMD Skyline. This means that if the Skyline was launched with Android 14 operating system, it will get an OS update up to Android 17.

Along with this, security patches will also be offered for three years only, meaning no more security updates will be rolled out after the completion of major platform updates. In this regard, the HMD brand's move is different from most smartphone manufacturers. However, it is rumored that a business-focused HMD Skyline Business Edition (BE) model will also hit the market, which according to the tipster will receive five years of security patches. However, buyers will have to pay more to get this extended support, as Business Edition devices are often more expensive than standard models.

Apart from this, the tipster also shared the price details of both the versions of the HMD Skyline phone. Among these, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version of the HMD Skyline BE phone is expected to be launched at a price of 520 Euros (approximately Rs. 46,520). According to the tipster, it will be available only in black color.

On the other hand, the standard HMD Skyline edition will come with four color options and 8GB/12GB RAM options. It will also get 256 GB of storage. The 8GB variant of the device will be priced at EUR 459 (approximately Tk 41,060) and the 12GB variant will be priced at EUR 499 (approximately Tk 44,640). The HMD Skyline is said to be launched in mid-July.
