iQOO will reportedly launch the iQOO Z9 series of smartphones in multiple countries including China. It is expected to be released in China first within the current quarter. The Z-series launched in China last year included two models iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x. Whether the brand will launch the iQOO Z9x as the successor to the Z8x this year is not yet clear. Before that, now various features of iQOO Z9 have been leaked online.
iQOO Z9 Key Specifications (Expected)
Without mentioning the name of the phone, well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) claims that iCo’s upcoming Z-brand phone will have an OLED panel that will offer 1.5K resolution. This will be a big upgrade, as the current generation iCo Z8 series features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel, which offers FullHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. He is believed to have reported the issues about the iCo Z9.
Also, he revealed that the Snapdragon SM7550 chip will power the upcoming Z-series phone. The mentioned model number confirms that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This is the same processor used in the Honor 100 and Vivo S18 smartphones available in the Chinese market .
However, an earlier report said that the iQOO Z9 is being tested with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. If, indeed, a Z9 model with the D8300 chipset does exist, it will likely be launched as the iCo Z9 Pro. DCS also reported that the iQOO Z9 could have a massive 6,000mAh battery. However, nothing is known about the fast charging capability.
