New cheap OnePlus Nord series phone coming to the country, will have Snapdragon processor and 50MP camera

Earlier this month, images of a new OnePlus smartphone were leaked. While the name is not known, the renders give a clear idea of the design. The device has now received BIS approval from India. It is expected to be launched soon in the Indian market under the OnePlus Nord series. Let’s find out what information has come out about this phone so far.

The new OnePlus smartphone has received BIS certification

A new OnePlus phone with model number CPH2613 has been cleared by the Bureau of Indian Standards Certification website. Apart from the design and camera, not much is known about the device so far. However, it is expected to be a Nord series smartphone. The handset will come with a flat frame body. The display will have a punch-hole cutout on the front. And the rear panel will have a vertically mounted dual-camera system. The power and volume buttons will be located on the right side of the phone. However, OnePlus’ signature alert slider on the left edge will not be included.

Besides, a USB Type-C port, speaker grill and primary microphone hole can be seen at the bottom edge of the handset. And the secondary microphone hole and an IR blaster will be placed on top of the phone. Looking at the design, it is believed to be the OnePlus Nord CE5 or OnePlus Nord CE5 Lite. Both the phones are said to be launched in the next few weeks.

The phone’s dual rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel sensor. A 16-megapixel selfie camera can be seen on the front. A report claims that the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Nord CE 5 Lite will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipsets respectively.
