Asus ended the wait and announced the launch of the new Zenfone in February itself. The upcoming model is the Zenfone 12 Ultra. The Taiwanese brand launched the Zenfone 11 Ultra in March last year. As a result, the launch of the successor model came a month earlier. Note that, last year, the compact form factor was dropped from the Zenfone 11 Ultra. The upcoming Zenfone 12 Ultra will be no different.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra is launching in February
Asus has announced in a post on their official X profile that the next-generation Zenfone 12 Ultra will debut on February 6 at 8 PM IST. The post hints that the new phone will feature AI features and enhance the mobile photography experience. The teaser image shared by Asus confirms 4K video recording support.
Again while capturing video Zenfone 12 Ultra has confirmed the presence of focus tracking feature. The rest of the device's specifications remain unknown at the moment. But the company will start releasing teasers before the launch event. Details will emerge from them.
Notably, the Zenfone 12 Ultra was spotted in the Bluetooth SIG database in November last year. Meanwhile, the 11 Ultra model is somewhat of a rebranded version of the Asus ROG Phone 8. As a result, the Zenfone 12 Ultra smartphone may be similar to the Rog Phone 9 that was unveiled last November. It can get Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and up to 24 GB of RAM.
