Motorola's new phone Moto G85 is coming to India, launch soon, will be happy to hear the features

Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G85 5G handset as its upcoming mid-range smartphone in the global market very soon. This new addition to the Moto G series has now been approved by the BIS authorities in India. The phone has also been spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench, China's TENAA and UAE's TDRA platform. Let's find out what these certifications reveal about the Moto G85 5G.

Moto G85 5G comes with multiple certifications including BIS

The Moto G85 phone has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification platform with model number XT2427-3, paving the way for its arrival in the Indian market. This certification is required for any electronic product launched in the country. The upcoming G series phone will be the successor to the Moto G84 5G handset that was launched in August last year.

Detailed specifications of the Moto G85 5G phone have been revealed

The UAE's TDRA certification site confirmed the trade name of the Moto G85 5G phone, but did not reveal any additional information beyond the device's 5G network support. On the other hand, TENAA certification has provided multiple information about the phone. It will feature a 6.6-inch OLED FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, an upgrade from its predecessor's 6.55-inch panel.

In terms of performance, the Moto G85 5G phone will run on an octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 2.3 GHz. While the exact chipset is not confirmed, it is speculated to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset found in the Moto G84 handset. The device is expected to offer multiple RAM (8GB, 12GB, 16GB, and 18GB) and storage options (128GB, 256GB, and 1TB).

For power backup, the Moto G85 5G phone will come with a 4,850 mAh battery, which may be marketed as 5,000 mAh capacity like the predecessor Moto G84. The handset will house a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor on the rear panel and a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies on the front of the phone. It's an upgrade from the Moto G84 5G phone's 16-megapixel front camera The Moto G85 model will measure 161.9 x 73 x 7.5 mm and weigh 171 grams.

Also, in terms of benchmark results, the Moto G85 scored 939 points in Geekbench platform's single-core test and 2,092 points in multi-core test. The device is said to run on Android 14 operating system.
