Redmi is gearing up to launch the next device in its performance-focused K series. Now before the launch, some specifications of the Redmi K80 Pro model have come to the fore.
Xiaomi and Redmi are reportedly working on multiple phones powered by the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship chipset. It is speculated that the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will debut next October with the new chipset. The Redmi K80 Pro is also expected to be powered by the said chipset. Earlier this week, a well-known tipster leaked the key specifications of the Redmi K80 Pro. Now the same tipster has shared some more information about the device on social media. Let's take a look at them.
Redmi K80 Pro Phone Specifications (Probable)
Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed in its Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post that the Redmi K80 Pro handset will feature a new high-capacity battery solution, which supports 100W charging. While some earlier reports have claimed that it will have a 6,000mAh battery, it is also rumored that the phone will offer a 5,500mAh battery. Notably, the Redmi K70 Pro handset that debuted last year will come with a 5,000 mAh battery.
The tipster said that the Redmi K80 Pro phone will have an ultra-high frequency display made by Huaxing. Huaxing is China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT), a division of China-based TCL Corporation. The outer screen glass is reinforced for added durability. Also, the phone will have a single-point ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.
Earlier reports claimed that the Redmi K80 Pro phone will sport a flat OLED panel, which will offer 2K resolution. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered phone will have a spherical camera module consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, an ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phone is expected to have a metal mid-frame and a glass back. It appears that the Redmi K80 series will debut in China in late October and will go on sale in November.
