Oppo Reno 12 series may be launched in May
Oppo is planning to launch the Reno 12 series in May itself. This information was revealed by a tipster on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Another Chinese leakster also claimed that the standard Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro could be launched next month. He also said that the smartphones have been benchmarked against new devices from the Honor brand. It could be the upcoming Honor 200 series, which could be launched with similar price and specifications to the Reno 12 model.
Incidentally, the Honor 200 series is expected to be launched soon and may also hit the market in May. A recent report indicated that the Oppo Reno 12 Pro will feature a larger 6.7-inch display, which will offer 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will likely come with a 5,000mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor and may support 80W wired fast charging.
Notably, the Oppo Reno 12 series is said to have AI-powered features and a periscope telephoto camera for improved zoom shots. It is also rumored that its primary camera will have a Sony sensor. The standard Oppo Reno 12 may feature a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the phone is likely to have a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The base variant may also offer a 5,000mAh battery, but with 67W wired fast charging.
