The launch time and processor of Oppo Find X8, Vivo X200, Xiaomi 15 phones have been revealed
Multinational semiconductor company Qualcomm may unveil its next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in October this year. Rival semiconductor brand MediaTek is also likely to announce its latest Dimensity 9400 flagship SoC this same month. As a result, rumors have already started about which phone the company will debut with the latest processor developed by the two companies. As recently famous tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi brands will launch smartphones with the first three mentioned chipsets in October.
Oppo Find X8, Vivo X200, Xiaomi 15 launch timeline and processor variants revealed
Digital chat station Halfil shared a post on microblogging site Weibo. According to his post, a bunch of flagship smartphones with new Qualcomm and MediaTek chipsets are set to launch in October. Each will come with a 1.5K resolution supported display. The post also mentions that the phones won't be too big in size though. As a result, it is believed that the tipster may have made the claims about the standard model and not the 'Pro' variant of the upcoming series.
Meanwhile, it is reported that two of the three upcoming flagship phones in October will have the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and one will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
The emoji used in the post indicates that the Xiaomi 15 model will debut with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. And Vivo X200 (Vivo X200) and Oppo Find X8 (Oppo Find X8) phones will run on MediaTek's latest Dimension 9400 chipset.
The tipster also said that the Vivo X200 and Oppo Find X8 phones will have periscope telephoto cameras. Which will not be available on the Xiaomi 15 handset.
Again, the Xiaomi 15 Pro phone is expected to come alongside the standard variant under the Xiaomi 15 series. It will also have Qualcomm's latest chipset. On the other hand, the Vivo X200 along with the higher-end Vivo X200 Pro model may also debut this same month with similar processors.
Apart from the standard model under the Oppo Find X8 series, a higher variant called the Find X8 Ultra may be included. However, this 'Ultra' model may not be launched in October, but in early 2025 in China. And chances are, it will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset instead of MediaTek. This phone can support satellite connectivity.
Incidentally in a recent report, the names of other companies' upcoming handsets with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor were also revealed. The list includes, OnePlus 13 Pro, iQOO 13 series, Redmi K80 Pro, and Realme GT 6 Pro. These devices are expected to be launched by the end of 2024.
