Now a tipster has shared important information online regarding the form factor of the upcoming Xperia phone.
The aspect ratio of the Sony Xperia 1 VI has been revealed
In a post on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, tipster Jacobs said that the Sony Xperia 1 VI will be similar to conventional smartphones in terms of form factor. That is, the Xperia 1 VI will offer a more conventional 19.5:9 ratio build instead of the 21:9 ratio.
While all Sony fans love the tall aspect ratio, this change may disappoint them. But it is believed that this could be a strategic move by Sony to make the phone appealing to more consumers. 21:9 ratio is preferred by certain users, while 19.5:9 ratio is acceptable to many people.
Apart from this, the tipster also said that the company may reduce the screen resolution of Sony Xperia 1 VI from 4K to 2K. However, the overall design of the phone is expected to be similar to its predecessor. Although the tipster didn’t reveal any more details about the phone in his post, an earlier report claimed that the Xperia 1 VI’s rear camera setup will feature a 48-megapixel Exmor T sensor on all three cameras.
Sony is also rumored to be planning to include the world’s first in-camera digital signage technology in its next-generation Xperia phones. This feature will allow users to digitally sign photos taken directly from the camera, ensuring the authenticity of the image and preventing tampering. Earlier this week, a source also revealed the RAM capacity of the smartphone. According to reports, the Sony Xperia 1 VI will be available in 12GB and 16GB RAM options.
