iQOO Neo 9 Racing: iQOO’s New Surprise, Brings Racing Phone with Bahubali Chipset

Qualcomm is expected to unveil a new flagship-grade chip this month, with model number SM8635. The chip is said to be Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 until an official name is announced. It is speculated that Xiaomi Civi 4, Redmi Note 13 Turbo, Realme GT Neo 6 and Vivo Pad 3 tablets as well as iQOO Neo 9 series phones will use the same processor. And now, a well-known tipster has leaked some interesting information regarding the display and camera of the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series phone.

iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition specifications leaked

In December last year, Aiko launched the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Aiko Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro with MediaTek Dimension 9300 chip in China. The predecessor Neo 8 series had two models – the standard iCo Neo 8 and the iCo Neo 8 Pro. However, the Neo 7 series launched in 2022 has three models including the regular Neo 7 with MediaTek Dimension 9000 Plus processor, Neo 7 Racing Edition with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Neo 7 SE with Dimension 8200 processor logic. And information doing the rounds on the internet suggests that the Neo-branded Ico phone might be called the Ico Neo 9 Racing Edition.

Based on a Weibo (Chinese microblogging website) post by Digital Chat Station (DCS), it can be said that the iCoa Neo 9 Racing Edition will come with a 6.78-inch flat OLED LTPO display with 1.5K resolution (2 ,800 x 1,260 pixels), will offer a high refresh rate of 144 Hz and PWM dimming up to 2,160 Hz. For photography, the device will offer a dual-camera system with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Presumably, some of the phone’s specifications may be similar to the standard ICO Neo 9.

The tipster had earlier claimed that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered phone will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will have a plastic frame and will offer a large battery with 120Hz fast charging support. The iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition is expected to hit the home market next month i.e. April. However, it is not yet clear whether the device will enter the global market.
