iQOO has launched its new performance-focused flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in the Chinese market. This is the most powerful and one of the most affordable gaming flagship phones this year. The device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 2K display made by Samsung, and a massive 7,000 mAh battery for gamers and power users. Let’s know the iQOO 15 handset price, specifications in detail.
iQOO 15 design and specifications
Each color option of the iQOO 15 has a smooth edge micro-matte finish and anti-fingerprint coating. The edge of the middle frame is slightly curved for a comfortable grip. On the other hand, the updated halo light strip gives it an attractive look.
The front of this flagship device will feature a 6.85-inch 2K Everest display. The company claims that this display, developed with Samsung for more than two years, uses M14 luminous material and the world’s first 2K LEAD OLED (2K LEAD OLED) technology. It offers up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, 2,600 nits full-screen and 1,000 nits manual display, making it one of the brightest displays on any phone. The display supports 3,200 Hz instant touch sampling.
For performance, the iQOO 15 handset uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, built on a 3 nanometer process. This chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It reportedly scored over 4,38,000 points in AnTuTu’s GPU test. This iCo phone also features a dedicated Q3 gaming chip, which enables frame rate interpolation and game resolution upscaling.
The iQOO 15 smartphone’s heat management system is equally powerful. A large vapor chamber filled with its 200 million nano-graphene particles, dual graphite layers and an 8,000 square millimeter VC heat sink help keep it cool. In the company’s tests, the phone’s temperature reached just 39.3°C after an hour of using Genshin Impact.
For photography, the iQOO 15 phone features a triple camera setup. These cameras are a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor (1/1.56″) with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel 3x Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto (1/1.95″) lens with M-shaped prism design. And for selfies and video calling, a 32-megapixel selfie camera will be available on the front of the device.
The smartphone is powered by a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It also supports PPS/PD protocol. In terms of software, the iQOO 15 runs on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 operating system. This operating system will be launched in the global market next month.
