The analyst has blamed the limitation of the Under-Display camera technology as the real cause behind this delay. Although this technology is seen on some phones like Nubia Z70 Ultra available in the market, its camera quality is very bad. Apple does not want to take such a risk for this reason.
Ross Young also says that the entire face ID sensor will be down in the iPhone 20 series launch in 2021. However, we will have to wait to get a absolutely bezelless display, probably up to iPhone 22, that is, up to 20 years.
