Huawei today officially launched the new Huawei Nova Flip S handset in the Chinese market. This clamshell foldable phone is the successor to the Nova Flip model launched in August last year. But the new model is cheaper than before. It comes with a 4,400mAh battery, 66W charging support, 50-megapixel primary camera and HarmonyOS 5.1 operating system. Huawei Nova Flip S Phone Price
The Huawei Nova Flip S has a starting price of just 3,488 Yuan (roughly Rs. 43,150), making it Huawei’s most affordable foldable in China. Earlier, Nova Flip was launched at a price of 5,288 Yuan (about Rs. 65,150).
Besides, the Huawei Nova Flip S is available in two more storage variants. Meanwhile, the 256 GB storage model is priced at 3,488 Yuan (approximately Tk 43,100) and the 512 GB version is priced at 3,788 Yuan (approximately Tk 46,800). Huawei has launched it in New Green, Zero White, Sakura Pink and Star Black finishes as well as two new color options – Sky Blue and Feather Sand Black, like the previous model.
Huawei Nova Flip S Specifications and Features
In terms of design, the Huawei Nova Flip S follows the previous model. On the inside is the 6.9-inch primary screen, which offers 1136×2698 pixel resolution and 1 – 120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate. The foldable device features a water drop hinge system for minimal crease visibility and is certified by Swiss SES for 1.2 million folds. The Huawei Nova Flip S handset has a 2.14-inch square screen on the outside, with a resolution of 480×480 pixels. This display supports fun themes like attractive belly, DIY wallpaper and interactive call display.
Users can pin most-used apps like weather reports, schedule viewing or QR code payments to the outer screen for quick access. Live window feature can show real-time updates like flight or food delivery.
For photography, the rear camera setup of the Huawei Nova Flip S foldable smartphone includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.9) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide (f/2.2) lens. And 32 megapixel sensor will be available in front of the phone. Both cameras support 4K video recording with AIS stabilization.
For power backup, the Huawei Nova Flip S handset comes with a 4,400mAh battery, which supports 66W wired fast charging. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and water resistant Life Waterproof certification. The device runs HarmonyOS 5.1 custom skin, but Huawei hasn’t said anything about its chipset.
