After multiple teasers, Huawei has finally officially launched the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design smartphone. It is the world's first commercially available phone with a tri-folding display. Let's take a look at the price of this attractive device and what specifications it offers.

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design has a chameleon-like screen, which transforms depending on the user's needs. It's a roughly 6.4-inch FullHD+ phone when folded. Also, Huawei claims to offer 25% more bend resistance on the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design model than other foldables, but we'll have to wait for user feedback to see if the tri-fold design breaks or gets damaged with daily use.
Huawei is yet to reveal the name of the processor used in this handset, but it is rumored to be powered by the company's own Kirin 9000 chip, which is already present in the Huawei Pura 70 series.
For photography, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design phone's rear camera system houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture (f/1.4 to f/4.0), a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. And for selfies and video calling, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Notably, despite a complex hinge design and full tri-fold structure, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design packs a pretty big battery. It draws power from a 5,600mAh silicon carbon battery, which is currently claimed to be the thinnest shell in the world, and supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Along with the tri-fold handset, Huawei has also launched a foldable touch keyboard, which will be paired with the Huawei Mate XT for a desktop-like experience. It can be a necessary accessory for productive work.

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design is available in Black and Red color options in the Chinese market. Its 16GB RAM + 256GB model is priced at 19,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 2,35,910). And the high-end 16GB RAM + 512GB version is priced at 21,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 2,59,500) and the top-end 16GB RAM + 1TB model is priced at 23,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 2,83,095). It is already available for pre-order and will go on sale in China from September 20 It is not yet known whether the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design will come to the global market.
