HTC U24: The world's first Android smartphone maker HTC is launching a new phone on June 12

HTC recently shared a new teaser, which revealed that the company is preparing to launch a new smartphone in the market. The upcoming device is expected to be part of the HTC U24 series. And now, the HTC U24 series launch date has finally been officially announced. It is going to hit the market tomorrow. Let's get into the details.

HTC U24 series launch date announced

HTC shared an official launch date on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. The teaser reveals that the company is going to unveil a new smartphone tomorrow, i.e. June 12 The teaser shows a device from the side with the phrase “Coming Soon” at the bottom Although the official poster image doesn't officially say it's the HTC U24 series, the tweet carries the “AllForU” tag. So it's probably HTC U24 or HTC U24 Pro model.

Notably, both the HTC U24 and HTC U24 Pro models have been spotted on the GeekBench benchmarking platform. The higher Pro model also appeared in the Google Play Console database. Based on the information that has surfaced so far, the smartphone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and at least one model will have 12GB of RAM. So it will be a high-mid-range model and will get an upgrade from last year's HTC U23 phone's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.

It is also reported that the HTC U24 series will run on Android 14 operating system. Meanwhile, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has confirmed that it will support Bluetooth version 5.3. According to Google Play Console, the HTC U24 Pro handset will feature a 1,080×2,436 resolution display, which could be a tall 6.78-inch panel. It will likely offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to have an OLED screen. The HTC U23 series has a 4,600 mAh battery. So the HTC U24 lineup may also offer a larger 5,000 mAh battery. There is no more information available about the upcoming U series phones at the moment, but all the information will be known when the lineup is launched tomorrow.
