Today Honor took the wraps off their two foldable phones – Honor Magic VS3 and Honor Magic V3 models. They are the successors to last year's Magic VS2 and Magic V2. Both the devices come with a new design and significantly upgraded specifications compared to their predecessors. These will compete with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, OnePlus Open, Oppo Find N3 foldable phones. Let's know about Honor Magic VS3 specifications, features and price in detail.
Honor Magic VS 3 Phone Specifications
The front of the Honor Magic VS3 phone features a 6.43-inch curved AMOLED display with slim bezels, offering a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels and 2,500 nits peak brightness. It has the same inner panel, measuring 7.8 inches and having a resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels. The maximum brightness of the screen is 1,600 nits. Both screens support 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and HDR Vivid.
Talking about the design, the Honor Magic VS3 handset has a slim profile which is 9.7mm slim when folded and 4.65mm when unfolded. The weight of the phone is only 229 grams. The rear panel features an elongated rectangular camera island, offering a dual-tone look in black and silver colors. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is embedded in the phone's power button. The foldable phone is equipped with the brand's Luban titanium hinge and shield steel, which ensures durability and light weight.
For photography, the Honor Magic VS3 comes with a triple rear camera. The setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel periscope unit with 5x optical and 50x digital zoom. Primary and periscope lenses support OIS. There are 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors for selfies on the cover and inner screen.
As for performance, the Honor Magic VS3 phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It offers up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. For power backup, the foldable phone has a massive 5,000mAh battery unit with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Also, the Honor Magic VS3 handset has RF enhancement and security chip for stable connection and privacy protection respectively. The device runs on Android based MagicOS 8.0 custom skin with split screen and multiple interesting features.
Honor Magic VS3 Price and Availability
The Honor Magic VS 3 will be available in Killian Snow, Tundra Green and Velvet Black colors. The base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the foldable phone has been priced at 6,999 Yuan (about Tk 80,625). These higher 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage configurations are priced at 7,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 88,700) and 8,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 1,00,200) respectively. The sale of Honor Magic VS3 phone will start from July 19. It is not yet known when it will hit the Indian market.
